Ahmed Saad makes a bold musical experiment with Hassan El Shafei: Techno meets classical poetry in “Ya Min Hwah”
In an unconventional musical move, Egyptian artist Ahmed Saad revealed his first experience in the world of electronic music, through a unique artistic collaboration with producer and composer Hassan El Shafei, in a new work titled “Ya Man Hawah”.
The project is a bold departure from the norm, blending modern techno beats with timeless classical poetry in an unprecedented artistic composition. The work is based on the fusion of two poems from the eyes of emotional Arabic poetry:
- “Ya who loves him and humiliates me” by Omani poet Ahmed Al Busaidi.
This blending of ancient emotional poems with modern electronic rhythms is a quantum leap in Ahmed Saad’s artistic career, as he departs from the usual tarabi framework to present an oriental sound with an international flavor that embraces the times.
Hassan El Shafei, known for his musical boldness and innovations in the world of pop and electronica, led this project with his meticulous production touches, creating an audio experience that redefines the concept of modern Arabic song.
The work is now available on all digital platforms, and has already started to attract the attention of Saad’s audience and fans of alternative music, amid praise for the level of artistic synthesis and boldness in the presentation.
