Our first national football team continues its intensive training in its overseas camp in Austria, as part of the preparatory phase in preparation for the fourth phase of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui is overseeing the team’s training, focusing on raising physical and technical readiness, as well as promoting harmony among the players.
The camp is witnessing a positive atmosphere and great enthusiasm from the players, as everyone is looking forward to performing at their best in the crucial stage of the qualifiers.
Al-Anabi has been camping in Austria since the 13th of this month and will continue until the 27th of this month, during which it will play two friendly matches against Metallist of Ukraine on the 23rd of this month and Udinese of Italy on the 26th of the same month.
Our team is seeking to resolve the qualification after the draw for the fourth stage, where our team will play in Group A along with Oman and the UAE.
According to the playoff system, the first-place finisher in each group will qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup, joining Japan, South Korea, Iran, Jordan, Uzbekistan and Australia, who booked their tickets in the third round.
The two second-place teams in each group will face each other in a round-robin match, with the winner advancing to the global playoffs.
