Qatar’s volleyball team qualifies for the second round of the West Asian Championship

The Qatari national team qualified for the second round of the West Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship, held in Bahrain, by beating its Omani counterpart by three sets to one in the second match of the second group, which includes the teams of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman, while the first group includes teams: Bahrain, the host, Jordan, UAE, UAE and Lebanon.

The Qatari team did not find it difficult to prevail in the match after it won the match with the results / 25-19, 25-16, 25-16, 23-25 and 25-16 / to secure its qualification for the second round of the tournament after winning the first match against its Saudi counterpart with three clean strokes.

The Qatari national team will conclude their first round matches against Kuwait on Monday, in a match in which they will look to secure a third win and qualify for the second round with a perfect score.

This edition is the first of its kind and was held with the aim of enhancing competition between the teams of the region and raising the technical level of the game in accordance with the objectives of the West Asia Federation headed by Mr. Ali Ghanem Al-Kuwari.
