WhatsApp launches ‘thread replies’ to organize group chats

In a move aimed at improving the user experience within group chats, WhatsApp has launched a new feature called thread replies, which aims to reduce the clutter of overlapping messages and organize the interaction between members more clearly and smoothly.

The new feature organizes replies to messages in group chats into a separate screen, enabling the user to see all the replies associated with a particular message in one place. Instead of scrolling endlessly within the conversation, simply tap the green reply indicator next to each message to see the number of replies and open a separate screen.

The feature is currently available in beta 25.19.10.80 on iOS devices, and will later be rolled out to other users, including Android users.

The feature not only displays, but also allows you to send a direct reply from within the thread screen, which is automatically added within the same thread. This feature will make a big difference in conversations with a large number of participants, such as work groups, family, or group projects.

WhatsApp continues to roll out updates that focus on user experience and smart organization, in line with its aspirations to provide a more efficient and streamlined chat environment.
